Portland has experienced the most wet days ever this rainy season | OregonLive.com

It’s been cold and wet. Not one 70 degree day this year, also a record. The only good news is that Oregon’s cold/wet winter is part of the weather pattern that ended the California drought.

“Wednesday will add another day to that auspicious total (making it 146) and Thursday will pile on one more. The the old record of 142 was set in between October 1, 1998 and April 30, 1999 (records for Portland go back to 1940).

…The active and wet jet of moisture coming from the Pacific is aiming itself right over the Portland metro area through tonight. In addition to active showers for the valleys, this system is bringing even more snow to the Cascades. A winter weather advisory is in effect through 7 p.m. Wednesday evening for 2 to 6 inches of snow for the passes “
