PBS is not suffering a funding problem, they are suffering from an ideological problem in the form of commercials. PBS does not have commercials, they have sponsors. Funny those sponsor spots look just like commercials, but they pretend to be above grubby business of business.
Get real PBS, stop those anasty pledge breaks. They are so much more annoying than commercials. Stop insulting your listeners and call those ‘brought to you by’ spots commercials, they are commercials.
