“In her question to White House spokesman Sean Spicer about President Trump’s visit to the new National Museum of African American History and Culture, April Ryan predicated her question on Trump’s ‘racism’: [emphasis added]
“Did he also visit slavery and the reason why I am asking this is because, when he was candidate Trump, he said things like, ‘we made this country,’ meaning white America not necessarily black, did he gain—”
Spicer interrupted her:
“I don’t know why you would say that. What do you mean?””
“We made this country” is what Trump said.
“Meaning white America not necessarily black”, is what she said and that’s not what Trump meant. Is it her paranoia talking? Is it demonizing the republican party? It’s interesting to note that to be totally inclusive Trump should have said: men, women, LGBT, asian, Indian, black, white, catholic, protestant, atheist… She is playing the got you game, someone is always left out.
The tragedy is that April Ryan hears her inner voice louder than Trump’s words.
